How PERCEPTION is different

Our training programmes highlight the importance of the arts within an appropriate early childhood curriculum based upon sustainable, culturally relevant resources.

There is a strong focus upon ways in which the National Curriculum may be supported through child-centred creative activities, helping our students to implement appropriately the Desirable Learning Goals.

We have gained a unique reputation for flexibility in the delivery of our courses. Play workers, teachers, parents, child minders and pre-school staff have all successfully accessed Perception training programmes.

Cutting edge training

To ensure that Perception maintains its high profile in the educational sector, our training programmes integrate the latest educational developments and international research. At the same time, participation and presentation in national and international conferences are considered vital to Perception's development.

We offer a range of interesting and stimulating accredited courses, stand-alone workshops and inset training within the Early Years, Childcare and Playwork sectors.

Students may be eligible for funding through County Early Years Development and Childcare Partnerships or organisations such as the National Childminding Association. Where possible training is delivered at a local level.
